These Terms of Service govern access to and use of JpMC Synapse, an institutional application developed to support authorized academic and administrative activities of Jamalpur Medical College.

By accessing or using JpMC Synapse, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Purpose of the Application

JpMC Synapse is intended to support institutional, administrative, academic, scheduling, event management, communication, and related authorized activities of Jamalpur Medical College.

2. User Accounts and Google Sign-In

JpMC Synapse may use Google Sign-In to authenticate users. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their Google Account and for activities performed through their authenticated account.

Access to specific features may depend on the user's assigned role or authorization within JpMC Synapse.

3. Authorized Use

Users must use JpMC Synapse only for legitimate and authorized purposes. Users must not attempt to gain unauthorized access, bypass role-based restrictions, interfere with application operation or security, impersonate another user, misuse institutional information, or use the application for unlawful purposes.

4. Institutional and Administrative Information

Information displayed through JpMC Synapse is intended to assist users with institutional and administrative activities.

If information displayed in the application conflicts with an applicable official order, notice, circular, signed document, or other authoritative record, the applicable official institutional document or record shall prevail.

5. Calendar and Scheduling

JpMC Synapse uses its own application functionality for institutional calendars, schedules, and events. It does not require access to a user's Google Calendar for these functions.

6. Availability and Changes

Features of JpMC Synapse may be modified, updated, temporarily suspended, or discontinued when necessary for maintenance, security, technical, operational, or institutional reasons.

7. Third-Party Services

JpMC Synapse may use third-party services and infrastructure, including Google Sign-In, Firebase, Google Cloud, and hosting providers. Use of those services may also be subject to their respective terms and policies.

8. Privacy

Collection and use of personal information through JpMC Synapse is governed by the JpMC Synapse Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer

JpMC Synapse is provided to support institutional operations and communication. Users should refer to applicable official institutional documents and communications where formal confirmation is required.

10. Limitation of Responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Jamalpur Medical College and those involved in operating JpMC Synapse are not responsible for losses resulting solely from unauthorized use, user error, third-party service interruptions, or circumstances beyond reasonable operational control.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Restriction or Termination of Access

Access may be restricted or revoked when a user is no longer authorized, when institutional affiliation or responsibilities change, when misuse is suspected, or when restriction is reasonably necessary for security or institutional administration.

12. Changes to These Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated when application functionality, institutional requirements, or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page.
